Mr. Aondona Dajoh, who would represent Gboko-West in the Benue State House of Assembly, has dodged an assassination attempt.
He was reportedly ambushed by hoodlums on his way home.
He almost avoided being caught, but his car was completely destroyed.
It was learned that on Thursday night, unidentified individuals attacked the member-elect at Gyado Junction in the state’s Gboko Local Government Area.
Sources said he abandoned his car and ran for dear life when the attackers who came in unconfirmed number descended on him.
When contacted, spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene confirmed the incident.
Anene, in a text message to our correspondent, said, “Attack on Hon. Aondona Dajoh is confirmed. Though he escaped unhurt, his vehicle was burnt down.
“Investigation into the case is ongoing please.”
