Military authorities dismiss viral reports as troops intensify anti-terror operations

Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters has dismissed reports claiming soldiers lost their lives during the recent military operation that eliminated notorious terrorist commander Abu Bilal Al-Minuki.

The clarification comes amid widespread online speculation following reports surrounding the fierce offensive carried out by Nigerian troops against terrorist elements in the North-East region. According to military authorities, the operation was successfully executed without any casualty on the side of Nigerian soldiers.

Defense officials described the mission as a major breakthrough in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, stressing that troops demonstrated high-level professionalism and tactical superiority throughout the operation.

Abu Bilal Al-Minuki had reportedly been linked to several deadly attacks and coordinated terrorist activities across troubled communities. Security analysts say his elimination could significantly weaken extremist networks operating within the region.

The military also warned against the spread of misinformation capable of demoralizing troops or causing panic among citizens. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining aggressive operations aimed at dismantling terrorist enclaves across Nigeria.

The development has triggered fresh conversations on social media, with many Nigerians commending the armed forces for recording another operational success amid persistent security challenges nationwide.
