The convoy of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Borno State, Mustapha Gubio, reportedly came under attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists while travelling in the state.
The incident occurred on Thursday along the Kareto-Damasak Road in Borno State as Gubio’s team was travelling to Damasak.
Security personnel reportedly engaged the attackers and repelled the assault.

Reports indicate that the attack occurred while the APC candidate’s convoy was travelling through the volatile area.

The convoy reportedly encountered the attackers at or around Kareto.
